Bead Table Wednesday Inspired by Fall Colors and Texture

Leather Triple Wrap Bracelet by Bay Moon Design

Welcome to Bead Table Wednesday where I share with you what is on my beading table. This week it is an orange triple wrap leather bracelet that I made with fall in mind. I think that the colors are perfect for fall.

Colors and textures in fall leaves

This time of year you can help but notice all of the orange leaves and pumpkins.  If you look closely at both you see texture.   Leather is perfect for the fall because it also has texture.  This year we are seeing lots of leather in jewelry.  The orange deer hide leather that I used is soft and perfect for an earthy, feminine look. The metal ribbon link is sterling silver. I love the rich look of the leather with the silver. The leaf charm is a handmade artisan bead by Humblebeads.

Don't you think this bracelet is perfect for the fall?

My Online Etsy Store Travels to Nashville, TN's Opryland

Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center
On our road trip to California, our next stop was Nashville, TN.  We camped very near to Opryland and the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center,  We had tickets to Opryland.  The parking for it is at a mall next to Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center which I heard was a must see.

Gaylord Opryland fountains
I wasn't disappointed. In addition to hotel rooms, restaurants and ballrooms, there is a river that flows through it.  The river contains water from all 50 states.  The lush gardens around the river are just gorgeous.

Leisure activities at this resort include floating through the indoor Delta gardens on a flatboat, splashing in two outdoor pools, or watching DJs in action at the on-site radio station.

That evening, we went to a show at Opryland.  It was a great show.  There were performers of old and new.

The following day we toured the Ryman Center which is were the original Opryland show was held.  It is amazing how the new Opyland captured the look and feeling of the old.

Inside Ryman Auditorium
The Ryman was originally built for Rev. Sam Jones to deliver his sermons.  Wooden pews were the seats.  The new Opyland has the same style of seats.
Starfish Earrings by Bay Moon Design
The next day while on the long road to Natchez, Mississippi,  I as able to list a new pair of earrings in my online Etsy store while riding in our truck.  I am not making much jewelry on the road, but I am continuing to get my shop ready for the holiday season by building more inventory.  Right before getting on the road, I got a box of jewelry back from the magazine Bead It Today.  I was fortunate to have a necklace published in it before it went out of business.  There were plans to publish a number of my earrings and necklaces, however, that isn't going to happen now.  This pair of starfish earrings was one of the pieces that were to me published.  Humblebeads polymer clay starfish charms are the stars of these earrings.

On the road to Natchez, Mississippi next!

My Online Etsy Store Travels to Atlanta, Georgia and Downtown Nashville, Tennessee

My camper with my online Etsy store
I took my online Etsy store to Atlanta, Georgia to visit my daughter and her husband.  We stayed at a campsite on Lake Lanier which is a favorite spot of theirs.  They go stand up paddle boarding and wind surfing there regularly.

Lake Lanier in Georgia
The cool wind off the water was delightful.  We cooked some steaks out on the grill and caught up on news.

Bay Moon Design Nautical Earrings
Before leaving I gifted my daughter with a pair of my latest design of nautical earrings.  These earrings have some anchors that I found recently on Aunties Beads. We both share a love of the water and sailing.  I thought they would be a perfect  new addition for my online store and for her.

Downtown Nashville, TN
Our next stop on our 6 week road trip was Nashville.  The historic downtown was lots of great places to listen to live music, grab some barbeque ribs, and shop.

If you are in the market for boots, this town has plenty.  Personally, in this heat I prefer my flip flops!

An Elvis sighting in downtown Nashville, TN
We caught a glimpse of Elvis.  My husband enjoyed having his photo taken with him.
Paddle boat on the river in downtown Nashville
Before leaving the downtown, we walked down to the river that flows through the area.  It is hard to believe that this peaceful river was the scene of major flooding and destruction.

In my next blog, I will share with you our experiences at Opryland, Ryman Auditorium, and Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center.

California Here We Come! My Etsy Store Is On the Road!

Our camper and my Etsy Store

My husband and I and our 3 cats are on the road for 6 weeks.  We left Delaware and are heading to California.  Our goal once we get to California is to visit Yosemite National Park.  We are taking our time and making a number of stops along the way.  Since we are going to be gone for so long, I took my Etsy store with me.  Fortunately, jewelry and cards are small.  We have a hot spot which enables us to have Internet.  I have a wireless printer and my mailing supplies.

My Etsy Packing Station Inside the Camper

First stop is in Blue Ridge Mountains

Our first stop as we head south was Meadows at Dan in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.  It was a great spot to enjoy the mountains and meadows.

There were cabins available .
Even though there were camping spots for tents, trailers, and cabins, there was only one other camper there besides us.  This time next month when the leaves are turning it will be packed.

I had time to take a photo on a picnic table for my last blog.  The photo turned out better than any that I have taken all summer.  Go figure!
Crocheted Multi-colored Quartz Necklace is available HERE
I was able to list this necklace in my Etsy store while on the road.  Next stop was Ashville, North Carolina.

We enjoyed driving through the clouds in places and seeing gorgeous wildflowers by the roadside.
