February's Art Elements Challenge sponsored by Cathy Spivey Mendola is birds of prey. I am very fond using owls in my jewelry and this bird happens to be an excellent hunter in both the day and night which makes the owl perfect for this challenge.

I love watching owls fly as they move stealthy when looking for their prey. Their prey includes invertebrates such as insects, spiders, earthworms, snails and crabs. Fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds and small mammals are also part of the owl diet.

Both pieces are very cool!
ReplyDeleteFantastic bracelets Kathy!
ReplyDeleteKathy, Both of your bracelets are so unique and distinctive. Of the two, I think the second with all its artisan elements and your special touches is my favorite. But, they're both fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Hope!
DeleteI love owls too! Love your fun colors, and the "tree" leather is fab.
ReplyDeleteLove both of your bracelets! It seems everyone loves owls as much as I do. And several people had made owl pieces just prior to the theme announcment. You must have ESP;-)
ReplyDeleteLove both of your owls. The leather owl is gorgeous. great job.
ReplyDeleteBoth bracelets are super fun. The color combination in the bead and chain bracelet is a great setting for the ceramic owl bead.
ReplyDeleteGreta designs Kathy - especially like the leather version.
ReplyDeleteLovely designs I really like the leather in the first one. It was the perfect choice!
ReplyDeleteThank you for playing along with us again! I love your modern owl bracelet - it looks like it would be fun and comfortable to wear.
ReplyDeleteI love the steampunk feel of the first bracelet but also the pop of color of the second! Owls are inspiring, aren't they :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun bracelets, Kathy! I love how they're so different from each other in construction and look.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anita.
DeleteFirst thought: that guy's photos are amazing! I love both of your bracelets, of course, I'm partial to leather. On the second 'modern with chain' one, how is it fastened? I don't think it's a stretchy bracelet is it? Alysen
ReplyDeleteI used a hook and it is attached with the leather.
DeleteBoth bracelets are lovely! I especially love the combination of color and beads in the second one, they work so great together! :)
ReplyDeleteOOo I love those bracelets especially the magnetic/leather clasp one. The second one has so much colour in it yet a muted palette, very effective. Nice work :D
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely wearable pieces you created!
ReplyDeleteAren't owls just awesome! I love, love, love the leather bracelet! I love the color combination of the second bracelet! Both turned out beautiful!
