Color of Dreams Bracelet by BayMoonDesign |
For this "Colors of Dreams" Blog Hop I was given a gorgeous blue floral bead created by artist Patricia Handschuh of The Color of Dreams Boutique to design with. Create with the bead and show us your dreams is the challenge of this blog hop! "If we can dream it, we can achieve it." So, try creating "from the end" -- as if your dream has come true -- using your jewelry design to do so.
When I got this bead I was struck by how tiny and delicate this bead is and the colors are so pretty and peaceful. I paired the bead with pearls which are my favorite bead because they come from nature. I also used tiny and delicate crystal. I think these beads reflect my dream of appreciating the little things in life that we often don't even notice. I try to spend at least an hour outside getting some exercise whether it is swimming, walking, gardening. When I am involved in those activities I take time to appreciate my surroundings. I look at the birds, the clouds, the flowers and I am thankful that I am able to see and healthy enough to move through the physical world. It is easy to take our health and our physical surroundings for granted. In reality both are fragile and can change at anytime. When I am involved in appreciating the moment that I am in, I am peaceful. The blue colors in my bracelet reflect that peace.
I want to share a few photos that show some of the beauty that I have found in my surroundings while out and about. Perhaps these photos will inspire you!
Appreciate the moment! |
I want to thank The Color of Dreams Boutique for my beautiful bead and Rita of Toltec Jewels for organizing this blog hop. Please take some time and visit all 51 artists to see their creations and dreams.

Kathy your lovely blue pearls accent Patricia's bead perfectly. I too was struck by the intricacy and delicacy of the beads and I like the symbolism you used of noticing the little things in life. I have been trying to do that more lately . Great nature photos.
ReplyDeleteSimple and delicate.
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful and delicate, and what a wonderful meaning behind it! Thank you so much for sharing.

Beautiful bracelet Kathy! I totally agree, we should not take our life for granted. Each moment should be appreciated & each day we should reflect on our blessings & the creations around us. I love how you depicted these things in your bracelet; even the little things matter!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing what you did with the BSBP beads from my grandmother. I love the beads you sent me but so far I'm still pondering a few ideas in my head. Thanks!
Love the bracelet and what it represents. I love to be outside working and then stop for a little while and watch the birds and butterflies and all the 'little' creatures around me, plus the little wildflowers and other pieces of nature. And it's true we need to make sure we don't take our health or life for granted. I recently have started suffering with arthritis (I guess) in one of my hands and it is very frustrating as I love working with my hands and it's making my jewelry making a little more difficult. What a nice thought.
ReplyDeleteLove your design. Very peaceful and lovely! Have a Blessed Day!
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful and inspiring pictures to look at, I love them... I also try to be outside for at least an hour every day, it makes a person happy! You received an amazing bead and combined it in a very beautiful way with all the other ones...
ReplyDeleteWOW ! That bracelet... You used that bead perfectly ! Sorry this comment took so long, this week has been a little heretic.
ReplyDeleteKathy, I was certain I commented, but may have gotten confused as I commented & created the Glossi for the hop.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your bracelet -- the blues are a perfect representation of your appreciation for health within ourselves and our world, and the peace that comes from it. I'm so inspired to move, to swim, to enjoy my pilates, to walk and take in the beauty of my surroundings. Fabulous post! I love your collages and can just meditate on your jewelry and images, feeling so grateful. Gorgeous bracelet. I'm so thinking of buying it, or asking for it for Mother's Day because I want to hold the dream you have shared close every day! I feel it resonate in my soul. I'd love to look at your bracelet as a reminder to cherish and look and enjoy! So healthful, so imperative, so pretty! A star of the show! Bravo!
Thank you for sharing your gifts with us all. I'm always honored to co-create with you! xxoo Rita
